Precious Rosary of Chöd
July 13th, 2009The Tsogley Rinpoche Trengwa is the quintessential Chöd ritual. The distilled essence of the teachings, meditations and practice of MaChig Labrön, it is known and practiced widely by Kagyu and Nyingma practitioners alike, including lamas of the Nyingthig and Dudjom traditions. However, it has rarely been practiced in North America. Spanning an entire day, it encompasses the full spectrum of offerings and is a direct conduit of blessings from the entire lineage of cho masters. The poetry, several dozen melodies, and rhythmic drumming are part of the enlightened transmission that provides the container for the practice. The deep meditations, mantra, torma offerings and sacred feasts touch every aspect of one’s being, and bring about a quick ripening of our spiritual potential. The ritual will be presided over by one of the great living cho masters, Tsewong Rinpoche of Bhutan, who holds the direct transmission of many living cho traditions.
